Are you a good fan of the game of cricket and interested in buying the best cricket equipment? Then read this article. Here, you can find how to get the best cricket gears like cricket bat, cricket ball, cricket protective gear and more.

First we will have a look on the cricket bat. Buy any bat, make sure it’s the right size for you and that the grip suits your batting style. You must be knowledgeable of the construction and size, the length of the bat is no longer than 38 inches. The blade and the handle are the two parts of the bat that you should look at. A good cricket bat is the most expensive part of the bat because it uses about 20 separate canes that come with rubber layers pasted into it so that they can act as shock absorbers.

Make sure also that the total length of the bat is not more than 38 inches as it is the maximum length of a bat. Make sure the gloves are not too tight as that can become painful if you bat for an extended period of time. If your gloves feel a little loose or the seams on the inside hurt you it is a good idea to get inner gloves which are usually just made of a cotton blend and make the gloves a little more comfortable.

However, you should check with your league rules for how much is permissible before you buy the gloves. Almost all gloves have some finger protection built into the tips nowadays, but double-check to be sure, just as a safety precaution to avoid any unnecessary injuries. Webbing that stretches from the index finger of the glove to the thumb is nice for when your aim is just a tiny bit off.. The helmet is the important cricket protective gear and a good helmet is a very important purchase as a cricketer as you can often find that you can get hit in the head quite easily even if it is only due to a fielder throwing a ball from the boundary and not quite hitting their target.

A good helmet should not make you feel heavy or bulky and allow freedom of movement, it is expected that due to the grill at the front it will impair your vision slightly but it should not be to the extent that you cannot properly see the ball at any point from when it leaves the bowler’s hand to the time it gets to you. Always buy the good cricket ball because only a good ball will swing and assist the fast bowlers, will last for the entire match and not damage any cricket bats.

The game of cricket has always mesmerized fans and will continue to do so. This is evident in the spectators filling up the show stands in the stadium during a match and busy fans going online every now and then to have a glimpse of the live cricket scores. There are certain news platforms that display cricket scores live; these are well utilized to the fullest with millions viewing the same.

In India the first one-dayer between India and Australia scheduled to take place at Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium in Kochi on Sunday was called off without a ball being bowled. Though, it was not raining at the time of release, the wet field delayed the match and eventually got cancelled. The second one-dayer would take place on October 20 at Visakhapatnam. Around 30,000-odd spectators had booked tickets for the Kochi match; organisers have decided to refund the cost of tickets. You can well imagine the enthusiasm of the people all ready to have a glimpse of the live cricket.

The match is excited by the thrilling 2-0 Test series win over the Aussies. But the Visakhapatnam match will not have the heavyweights from both the teams. Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting were rested while Sehwag and Gambhir are nursing knee injuries. In such a situation, tension-stricken fans will be all the time glued to their television channels or laptops or mobile phone for cricket news live score.

For those who are on the move and carrying a mobile phone or a netbook or laptop with Internet connectivity, browsing for cricket score live seem easy. Therefore, they won’t miss the cricket scores flashed as happening in the area. Thanks to the news platforms that have made it possible. Had there been no news portals, cricket fans would not have had access to cricket score live to their facilitate and advantage.

When setting up the cricket ground equipment the first few basic items required are the boundary and the sight screen. The boundary has 2 primary uses within cricket. Firstly the boundary is simply used to mark out the edge of the playing field, marking out the area of play. Secondly the boundary is used for the scoring of runs within the game of cricket, where a four is when the ball reaches the boundary, but a six is when the ball is hit clean over it. A sight screen is another very important piece of cricket ground equipment that must be set up before playing a game of cricket. The purpose of a cricket sight screen in crickets is to aid the visibility of the ball. The sight screens are placed at each end of the cricket ground opposite to the wickets, the colour of the sight screens makes seeing the cricket ball easier for the batsman. The sight screen also helps block out any distractions through light or otherwise that the bowler or batsman may face, which in turn help improve player performance.

The third piece of cricket ground equipment that is needed before starting to play cricket is the stumps and bails. The stumps are 3 wooden polls that are placed vertically in the ground directly behind the batter at each end of the pitch. Stumps are no more than 28 inches tall and have a spike at the end to be easily put into the ground. The bails are two small pieces of wood that sit on top of the stumps to link them together. In a game of cricket the batter is out when the stumps are broken apart, with one or both of the bail’s leaving the stumps. This can happen through the ball hitting the wicket, the batter hitting the wicket with their bat or if a fielder hits the wicket with the hand the ball is in.

The final two pieces of cricket ground equipment needed to begin your game of cricket is a ball and a bat. A regulation cricket ball has a cork base, and is wrapped in twine which is covered with leather. Cricket balls are also normally red or white, and very hard making them a potentially dangerous object when playing a game. A regulation cricket bat is often made from either Kashmir or English willow. A cricket bat has a long handle and on smooth face, with the other face in a triangular shape. Regulations also state that bats can be no longer than 38 inches and no wider than 4.25 inches.

With the amount of cricket ground equipment needed it is very important not only to purchase high quality items that will last but also affordable to save on major costs. Should you have any questions about the equipment available always to be sure to ask a customer representative at your cricket ground equipment supplier and they will always be willing to help.

Cricket balls are small, hard, fast objects and will direly hurt you if it strikes you in just the wrong spot. Fortunately, cricket equipment companies make all kinds of cricket safety equipment, and with modern technology it has been getting better and better every year. Here’s a list of what every cricket player should not be without!

If you mostly bat, then you definitely want to consider spending the money on a some batting guard shorts. They do a great job at protecting the defenceless parts of the lower abdomen and groin from painful impact with the cricket ball. A lot of players wear them nowadays, which makes good sense.

Never be without your abdo guard! Drop this vital item of cricket equipment into your jock strap just to be on the safe side that you can continue to father future generations.

Fielder’s protection is becoming more important now that cricket rules allow them to play in closer than before. When a spinner heads in your direction, you’ll be glad to wear it!

A wicket keeper face mask is absolutely essential if you’re the keeper, to keep your pretty face un-scarred while standing up to the stumps. You can get some really cool designs, but do try to opt for one that gives excellent visibility and comfort.

Nobody wants to head onto the cricket field and have to leave with a nasty injury. By ensuring that your body is adequately protected, you can dramatically reduce the chance of being wounded while playing. You can purchase these items at a nearby sports store, or for even better prices you can buy cricket equipment online. Please consider all of the above equipment as essential items to have, and don’t play without them. Otherwise, you could get hurt!

Cricket has its origins in sixteenth-century England and has grown massively popular in places like Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the West Indies. In fact, it is seen as the national sport in many South Asian states.

The last couple of decades has seen something of a rebirth of the sport. In addition to the traditional Test matches, which can go on for days, there are now one day and 20 overs competitions which are shorter and a significantly more fan-friendly experience.

These transformations have coincided with, or maybe are the cause of, the emergence of some ‘second-tier’ cricket-playing countries all over the globe. Though they are still quite a way behind the ‘big boys’ of world cricket, it seems the gulf in class is narrowing.

The laws of cricket are quite complicated, but here is a short summary of the sport. Cricket teams consist of 11 players on each side and the game is played on a large oval field. One team bats, attempting to rack up as many runs as they can. The batsman attempts to protect the wicket from the bowler while accumulating runs. When the bowler hits the wicket with the ball, or a fielder catches the ball after it is batted, then the batsman is ‘out’. When all the batsmen are dismissed then the teams swap roles, and the side that scores the most runs triumphs.

As mentioned, standard ‘Test’ games like those played in the famous Ashes series between England and Australia, can go on for many days. The more recent one day and twenty overs matches keep matches to 1 day of action.

The equipment required to play cricket is fairly simple and impromptu matches with family and friends can be easily organized. The most important items are cricket bats and balls. The bats are blade-shaped and can be up to 38 inches long. The balls are made from hard leather and have a cork core.

Because the balls are heavy and the fact that they can be delivered at up to 90mph, it is necessary for batsmen to wear protective gear, including a helmet, gloves and pads. Serious injuries are not uncommon in cricket.

The international body of cricket is the Dubai-based International Cricket Council (ICC). It has a hundred and four member nations, including 10 full members that play international Test matches. It also oversees the laws of the sport and is responsible for appointing umpires and officials.

Leg spin bowling is a style of spin bowling in cricket. It is a delivery bowled by a right hand bowler and will, after landing on the cricket pitch, spin from the leg-side to the off-side.

The grip. The leg spin grip for the normal stock ball delivery is a very simple one. The ball must be held firmly in the hand but not too tight and deep in the palm – otherwise the ball will get stuck during delivery and the bowler will generate less spin. The seam of the ball must run underneath all the fingers (opposite of a fast bowler grip). The index and middle finger must be up and on top of the ball and seam and the ring and little finger must face down. The side of the ball must rest against the ring finge

The action. The action for the spin bowler is as important as the grip and release. The action can be side on or a bit more open chested but the important thing is that the left arm (for a right handed bowler) arm drives the actions forward. The left arm must throw your body forward by pointing it in front of the bowler and pulling it back strongly during the delivery stride.

The pivot. To pivot the bowler must both turn the body and push up on the toes of his or her landing foot. This does two things: It helps the bowler swivel the body against the grip on the foot – creating more turn when the ball pitch – and it also helps in the bowler releasing the ball from higher – resulting in more bounce.

The release. The whole hand must work together as one when released. Do not move some fingers independently of others. The hand and wrist must be one. The ball must be released with the seam facing upwards and aiming towards first slip.

During the release the wrist must also be cocked at the start. In other words, the arm and hand must not run in a straight line. Watch some clips of great leg spin bowlers as they start off with their run-up, the bowling wrist is always cocked. So another top cricket tip is that the bowling wrist for the leg-spinner must always be cocked as it helps to impart more spin.

A really good cricket tip you can give a young spin bowler is to tell him or her that as much of the spin is generated in the action as in the release. Another great cricket tip is that bounce is as important for a spin bowler as turn – this is why pivoting on the landing foot is so crucial.
